Designed For Experienced UT level II or III personnel wishing to gain further experience in the use of encoded and manual data collection
Pre-Course Requirements: The pre-requisite for PA Flaw Detection and Sizing course requires the student to have attended the PA Level II course, or a similar course offered by an Olympus NDT accredited training establishment

Phased Arrays Level 2 - Flaw Detection and Sizing

This is a continuation of the Phased Array Level 2 course and offers the student the time to further absorb the principles of data collection and interpretation with practical hands on flaw detection and characterization. The practical aspects of this course will allow the student the ability to implement practical inspection solutions.

Students successfully completing this course (in conjunction with the Phased Array Level II Course) will have the ability to define scanning plans, patterns and parameters, implement inspections, save data and interpret Phased Array images with a view to identifying the position, size and type of the indication with a view to either accepting or rejecting the indication against a defined acceptance criteria.
